A black-colored plastic composition includes specific amounts of a brominated polycarbonate, a poly(butylene terephthalate), a block polyestercarbonate containing resorcinol ester units, diantimony trioxide, and a black colorant. The composition exhibits a deeper black color than a corresponding composition without the block polyestercarbonate. The composition can be used to mold black parts of consumer electronic devices, such as flat screen television bezels, cell phone backs, and exterior parts of household appliances such as toasters and microwave ovens. |
