The present invention relates to a medical material that contains a copolymer that comprises a repeating unit (A) that is indicated by formula (1) and a repeating unit (B) that is indicated by formula (2), the repeating unit (A) being 0.6-7 mol% of the total structural units in the copolymer. In formula (1), R11 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, Z is an oxygen atom or -NH-, R12 is an alkylene group that has 1-6 carbons, R13 and R14 are each independently an alkyl group that has 1-4 carbons, and R15 is an alkylene group that has 1-6 carbons. In formula (2), R21 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R22 is an alkylene group that has 1-6 carbons, and R23 is an alkyl group that has 1-4 carbons. The present invention can provide a medical material and a medical instrument that demonstrate excellent antithrombotic properties, even when used under severe conditions in which blood clots form easily. |
