PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording liquid for recording, at a high speed, a high-quality image with high image density and less feathering, breeding, and beading, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the same.SOLUTION: A pH controller 12 applies a pH adjuster to a recording paper 14. The inkjet recording liquid that is to be discharged from a recording head 13 contains: water; a colorant, a boron compound, and a polymer that is to be cross-linked with the boron compound in a specific pH region, wherein the value of pH therein is adjusted at a value where the boron compound and the polymer are not cross-linked. The pH value of the recording paper 14 is adjusted at a value where the polymer is cross-linked with the boron compound so that the ink turns into gel and gets thicker. |
