<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector that is used in a concentration measurement of flammable gas, a leakage detection thereof, or the like, and includes a gas detection element excellent in alkali resistance and excellent in anti-dew condensation.SOLUTION: A gas detection element 60 provided in a gas detector 1 comprises a protection layer 64 that contains a crystalline substance and is formed of an oxide film mainly composed of almina (AlO). The protection layer 64 is excellent in anti-dew condensation, and even if a water droplet is adhered on the protection layer, a structure of the protection layer does not change from a dense structure to a porous structure. Accordingly, the gas detector 1 enables suppression of a characteristic change of the protection layer 64 due to the water droplet, and even when the water droplet is adhered on an outermost surface layer of the gas detection element 60, the gas detector 1 enables suppression of impurities entering into the protection layer 64 (outermost surface layer), which in turn enables suppression of a change in thermal capacity of the gas detection element 60. Thus, according to the gas detector 1, a gas detector is enabled to be attained that includes the gas detection element 60 excellent in alkali resistance and excellent in anti-dew condensation.</p> |
