PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to the buckling prevention of a swollen part formed on a metal plate upon an increase in thickness by crushing the swollen part.SOLUTION: By a thickness increasing method for the press parts, a first process makes a metal plate 12 swell partially in a plate thickness direction in a thickening formation region 12A of the metal plate 12 to form a plurality of swollen parts 16. Next, at a second process, the plurality of swollen parts 16 are crushed while constraining the outside part 12B of the same region 12A. Thus, a thickening part 26 with an increase in plate thickness of the metal plate 12. Further, since a plurality of swollen parts 16 are formed in the same region 12A, a cross section length dimension of the metal plate in individual swollen parts 16 can be secured even when the same region 16 is not set high, so that a thickness increase amount can be increased. This enables contribution to the buckling prevention of a swollen part upon crushing a plurality of swollen parts 16. |
