<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wear in a belt at the generation of a belt slide in a belt-type continuously variable transmission during a coast traveling.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 1 stops an engine 2 during gear reduction traveling of a vehicle 100, and can perform gear reduction S&S control as coast control for making the vehicle 100 inertia-travel (step S2). When a stop command for stopping the engine 2 at the execution of the gear reduction S&S control is issued, the vehicle control device 1 performs secondary sheave hydraulic control for setting target secondary sheave hydraulic pressure for controlling belt grip pressure of a belt-type continuously variable transmission 5 which gear-changes power outputted from the engine 2 to zero so that the belt grip pressure reaches a prescribed amount or smaller (step S4). Furthermore, when a variation of the secondary sheave hydraulic pressure of the belt-type continuously variable transmission 5 is within a prescribed range after the execution of the secondary sheave hydraulic control, the vehicle control device 1 prohibits the secondary sheave hydraulic control (step S6).</p> |
