PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently inducing differentiation of a human melanocyte cell population from human pluripotent stem cells.SOLUTION: The invention provides a method for promoting a differentiation induction of a melanocyte comprising culturing human pluripotent stem cells under the presence of a component which stimulates epidermal induction and a component which stimulates a last differentiation to a keratinocyte, and incorporating active vitamin D3 into the culture system.
