[Problem] To provide a method for producing an ethylene/alpha olefin copolymer having a high molecular weight, even under high polymerization temperatures. [Solution] A method for producing an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer, wherein ethylene and an alpha-olefin having at least 3 carbon atoms are copolymerized in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst containing: a crosslinked metallocene compound represented by general formula [I] (A); and a cocatalyst component (B).
