The present invention discloses a device and a method for device-to-device (D2D) communication. The data transmission method includes the steps of: transmitting a first packet to a second terminal through a cellular communication link; transmitting a second packet, which includes an end marker indicating that the second packet is the last packet to be transmitted through the cellular communication link, to the second terminal when a D2D communication link to the second terminal is set; stopping the packet transmission after transmitting the second packet; and transmitting a third packet contiguous to the second packet to the second terminal through the D2D communication link when a packet transmission request is received from the second terminal. Accordingly, the present invention can ensure the continuity of the data flow.
