<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a center folded and bound booklet, whose fold part is flat and a square fold, with compact and simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: A booklet forming device includes: a folding roller pair 72 which clamps and transports a center folded and bound form bundle with the fold part as a front end; a stopper member 80 which can enter and exit from a form bundle transport path at a position where the front end can abut while the folding roller pair clamps a tail end side of the form bundle; and press plates 75, 76 which clamp and press the form bundle on a downstream side from the folding roller pair. The stopper member is projected into the form bundle transport path to make the front end of the form bundle abut and stop, and the form bundle, which is stopped by the press plates, is pressed while moving pressing places from the tail end side to the front end, thereby forming the fold part of the center folded and bound booklet comprising the form bundle into a square fold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
