PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger achieving both the reduction a charging time of a secondary battery and the extension of life.SOLUTION: The charger includes: a charging circuit for charging the secondary battery; current value set means settable of any one of current value among a plurality of current values, as a set current value; current control means for controlling a charge current flowing through the charging circuit to have the set current value set by the current value set means; and battery voltage detection means for detecting a battery voltage which is a voltage of the secondary battery. When the battery voltage becomes a first threshold or larger among a plurality of provided thresholds, the current value set means sets the set current value to be a second current value smaller than a first current value which has been set immediately before the battery voltage becomes the first threshold or larger, and sets the threshold to be a second threshold larger than the first threshold. |
