PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston ring capable of easily forming a mating portion with sufficient stiffness, and suppressing the leakage of a fluid at the mating portion. ! SOLUTION: A piston ring is equipped with an annular body portion 2, and a mating portion 3 formed on the body portion 2. The body portion 2 has a base portion 11, and a wide width portion 12 formed along an outer peripheral surface side of the body portion 2 on one side surface side of the base portion 11. At one mating end portion 21 of the mating portion 3, the wide width portion 12 has a first projecting part 23 projecting out to the other mating end portion 22 side rather than the base portion 11. At the other mating end portion 22 of the mating portion 3, the base portion 11 has a second projecting part 24 projecting out to the one mating end portion 21 side rather than the wide width portion 12. !
