Foot measurements devices and methods are disclosed. A footgauge comprises a first end abutment (14) and a carriage (12) having a second end abutment (21) and being movable in a guided lengthwise direction towards and away from the first end abutment (14). A graduated scale (17) is provided between said end abutments (14, 21) and adjacent the path of movement of the carriage (12). The carriage (12) has a support portion (22) configured to receive a camera (which may be built into a mobile phone (23)) and direct the camera towards said graduated scale (17). At least one measurement of a foot can be determined in a predetermined manner from an image by the camera. The carriage (12) can comprise a window so that a view of a part of the graduated scale (17) is provided through the window for the camera.
