PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gravure printing press which can restore register failure to its normal condition at an early stage keeping it within the allowable range, and to provide a method to control the same.SOLUTION: The register controller 30a sends to a motion controller 30c signals twice or more related to the operation amounts Δω(t) and Δω(t) respectively of motors 13b and 13c while the plate cylinders 11b and 11c respectively of the printing units 10b and 10c rotate 360 degrees. The motion controller 30c is structured to perform control outputs to the motors 13b and 13c of the printing units 10b and 10c while the plate cylinder 11b and 11c respectively of the printing units 10b and 10c rotate 360 degrees. |
