<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system compatible with version disagreement with a simple scheme. <P>SOLUTION: It is determined whether printing data is received (step S2). The version of a printer driver is analyzed in accordance with the printing data (step S4). It is then determined whether the version of firmware agrees with the version of the printer driver (step S6). When it is determined that the version of firmware does not agree with the version of the printer driver, it is determined whether there is information about a language processing part corresponding to the version of the firmware in agreement (step S14).
