<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated cutting tool having excellent wear resistance and chipping resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The coated cutting tool has a multi-layered coating film 20 including an oxide film (a fourth layer 24 (Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>)) and films other than oxide (a first layer 21 (TiN), a second layer 22 (TiCN), a third layer 23 (TiBN), and a fifth layer 25 (TiN)), on the surface of a base material 10 composed of a hard alloy. In the coating film 20, a region acting on cutting (a ridge part 1 on the edge here) has an exposed part 30 in which the film other than oxide (the second layer 22 (TiCN) here) is exposed on the surface, by removing one or more layers containing oxide films. A residual stress in the film of the surface layers of the exposed part 30 has a distribution in the thickness direction, wherein the distribution has a part that becomes compressive stress whose maximum value is >50 MPa and≤1,100 MPa, and the chipping resistance can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
