Method and apparatus for conditional driving guidance

An approach is provided for presenting guidance information to a driver of a vehicle in terms of safety and legality based on the vehicle's current position, direction, and speed and/or the driver's current behavior. A feasibility platform processes and/or facilitates a processing of contextual data associated with at least one vehicle to determine feasibility information associated with performing at least one maneuver using the vehicle. The feasibility platform also determines one or more user interface elements for presenting guidance information for the at least one maneuver based, at least in part, on the feasibility information.

1. A method for vehicle navigation guidance comprising facilitating a processing of and/or processing (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal, the (1) data and/or (2) information and/or (3) at least one signal based, at least in part, on the following:
a processing of contextual data associated with at least one vehicle against one or more safety criteria, one or more vehicle-related regulations, or a combination thereof to determine one or more dangerous or illegal activities, one or more people in the at least one vehicle, or a combination thereof associated with performing at least one maneuver using the at least one vehicle, the contextual data including one or more legal regulations; and at least one of: a disabling of the at least one vehicle's entertainment system, one or more calling capabilities, or a combination thereof, without user intervention, at least one transmission of data of the one or more dangerous or illegal activities to one or more authorities, to one or more insurance entities associated with the at least one vehicle, to the one or more people, or a combination thereof, to one or more family members of the one or more people, or a combination thereof, without user intervention, and at least one presentation of impact of the one or more dangerous or illegal activities on the vehicle.
