<p>The present invention relates to a structure for connecting a cowl positioned on the top of a dashboard of a vehicle and functioning as a connecting member connecting front pillars in left and right sides and the front pillar functioning as a reinforcing member for the front lateral surface of the vehicle and extended from the lower lateral surface of the vehicle in a direction of a vehicle height toward a vehicle roof. The cowl includes a cowl lower part with a body face forming the lower part of the cowl and extended to a vehicle width direction and first flanges formed on both ends of the body face in the vehicle width direction to the lower side of the vehicle and an cowl upper part with a cowl upper part extended to a vehicle width direction and covering the upper part of the cowl lower part to form a cross section of the cowl vertical to the vehicle width direction into a C shape. The front pillar includes a front pillar inner part forming the internal part of the front pillar in the vehicle width direction and a front pillar outer part forming the external part of the front pillar in the vehicle width direction. Disclosed is the structure for connecting the cowl and front pillars characterized by a fact that the cowl lower part is fixated and joined to the front pillars by contacting the body face and at least one inner face of the first flanges to the outer faces of the front pillar inner parts.</p> |
