A stud pin mounted to the tread of a pneumatic tire has: a front end section coming into contact with a road surface; and a base section to be embedded, the base section being embedded in the tread and affixing the stud pin when a bottom section and a body section are pressed from the side surface of a stud pin mounting hole. The base section to be embedded extends in one direction and is provided with the flange-shaped bottom section and the flange-shaped body section which is provided between the bottom section and the front end section. The outer peripheral side surface of the bottom section, the outer peripheral side surface coming into contact with the side surface of the stud pin mounting hole, has formed therein first recesses provided along the outer peripheral side surface. The outer peripheral side surface of the body section, the outer peripheral side surface coming into contact with the side surface of the stud pin mounting hole, has formed therein second recesses provided along the outer peripheral side surface. The first recesses of the bottom section and the second recesses of the body section are provided at the same circumferential positions on the base section to be embedded. |
