Shredder with knives having multiple cutting blades

The shredder has cutters (30) comprising a plan shaped rigid body. The cutter is mounted on cutter holders (44) along direction oriented tangent to an outer peripheral surface of a rotor (12). The body defines corner shape to be complementary to V-shaped grooves (26) in a counter-knife (14). The cutters are mounted in orientation such that the corners mesh with the grooves as the rotor rotates about an axis. The cutters are multi-point cutters (130) in which the corner of the cutters defines cutting points spaced apart along direction, where the points mesh with the grooves.
