<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device achieving prevention of bending and lightweight. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device includes a metal-made chassis 20 equipped with a rectangular top plate 21 and side plates 22, 22 erected along each edge part in a length direction of the top plate 21. A translucent cover 10 overhung between the side plates 22, 22 is loaded at a center part of the chassis 20. A power supply part 50 is installed on a top face of the chassis 20. Further, nearly U-shaped fixing brackets 60, 60 made of metal with a length dimension nearly the same as a width dimension of the chassis 20 are attached for fixing the lighting device 100 to a T-bar.
