A cooking apparatus 1 includes: a heating chamber 10 which accommodates an object to be heated; an interior lamp 13 illuminates the heating chamber 10; a control unit 100 which the interior lamp 13; and an operation unit 14 which operates the control unit 100. The interior lamp 13 is formed by an LED board 20 on which a plurality of LED elements 21 are mounted, and the control unit 100 performs lighting control of LED such that light control at start and end of cooking is different from that in the middle of the cooking. Consequently, electric power consumption in the middle of the cooking is reduced, whereby it is possible to enhance energy reduction performance. Further, lighting time for the LED is also shortened, whereby it is also possible to improve durability. |
