摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable power running control regardless of battery residual amount, in a turbocharger in which an electric motor is coupled to a drive shaft.SOLUTION: A turbocharger 14 in which an electric motor 25 is coupled to a drive shaft 37 performs regenerative control on the electric motor according to a period generating a blow-down flow of exhaust immediately after an exhaust valve is opened in an exhaust passage, and performs power running control on the electric motor according to a period generating a scavenging flow of the exhaust with a piston rise after the blow-down flow is generated in the exhaust passage. The turbocharger 14 has a control mode alternately repeating the regenerative control and the power running control.</p>
