PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper capable of using an ordinary steel material, and capable of also securing stable energy absorption and large deformation capacity, without applying processing such as a slit.SOLUTION: A damper 1 is incorporated into a bearing wall, and is composed of a pair of parallel plate parts 2 and 2 mutually arranged in parallel, an energy absorbing plate-like web part 3 for connecting these parallel plate parts 2 and a pair of vertical plate parts 4 and 4 respectively connected between both ends of the pair of parallel plate parts 2 and 2. The web part 3 is welded to the pair of vertical plate parts 4 and 4. The pair of vertical plate parts 4 and 4 are respectively joined to an upper side part and a lower side part displaced in the horizontal mutually inverse direction along a wall surface of the bearing wall by vibration. The web part 3 forms an inclination in the going in and out direction to the wall surface of the bearing wall. |
