<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance flexibility in baking by disposing a convection section receiving combustion gas from a plurality of vertical radiation cells separated horizontally above the radiation cells thereby reducing the plot space requirements of a furnace and simplifying replacement of radiation coil. SOLUTION: Radiation cells 110, 112 are provided on either sides of the bases for furnaces 100 separated horizontally and an additional radiation cell may be provided, as required. Each radiation cell 110, 112 includes a row of a plurality of multipath radiation coils 122 being burnt on the opposite sides by a floor type burner 108 blowing fire upward along the side wall 124. A convection section 116 is disposed between two radiation cell 110, 112 on top thereof. An air preheater 104, a forced draft fan 102 and a suction fan 118 are disposed above the convection section 116 in the furnace structure. The suction fan 118 sucks combustion gas from the convection section 116 and discharges it from a chimney 120.</p> |
