PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose an air-conditioner heating auxiliary device easily applicable to an existing air conditioner with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A heating auxiliary device 1 assists in heating operation performed by an air conditioner 5 that includes an outdoor unit 6. The heating auxiliary device 1 comprises: a heating unit 41 heating a liquid heating medium with solar heat or heat of a high heat source; a heat storage unit 42 detachably provided upstream of a flow of air drawn in an outdoor heat exchanger 33 of the outdoor unit 6, including a plurality of plate elements 48 aligned along the flow of air, and storing heat carried by the heated heating medium; a flexible pipe 43 circulating the heating medium between the heating unit 41 and the heat storage unit 42; a pump 45 provided in the pipe 43 and circulating the heating medium; a sensor 46 detecting at least either the amount of insolation of the solar heat or the temperature of the high heat source; and an auxiliary device controller 47 actuating the pump 45 on the basis of a detection result of the sensor 46 and introducing the heating medium heated by the heating unit 41 to the heat storage unit 42.
