Repository-Based Print Services

An approach is provided for a service provider to identify documents to include in a client's repository and for the client to print the documents from the client's repository. In an embodiment, a computing device receives authentication information identifying a first user, receives first user information identifying a second user, receives information indicating selection of a one or more particular documents, from a set of one or more documents, and sends document information that at least identifies the one or more particular documents to a repository associated with the second user. A printing device receives second user information identifying the second user, and, in response to receiving the second user information, retrieves the one or more particular documents from the repository based, at least in part, on the second user information. The printing device processes at least one document of the one or more particular documents for printing.

1. A computing device, communicatively connected to a scanning device, configured to:
cause the scanning device to scan a patient identifier code to produce first scan data that identifies a client user; in response to identifying the client user based on the first scan data:
retrieve, from a repository, one or more particular documents associated with the client user, andcause information for at least one document of the one or more particular documents associated with the client user to be printed; wherein a second computing device:
receives authentication information identifying a service provider user that is different than the client user,receives user information identifying the client user, andprior to the computing device retrieving the one or more particular documents from the repository:
the second computing device receives information indicating selection, from a set of one or more documents, of the one or more particular documents to associate with the client user, andthe second computing device sends document information, that at least identifies the one or more particular documents associated with the client user, to the repository.
