<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance calculation accuracy of delay data in an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus.SOLUTION: The thickness of a fat layer 116 is specified on each path 108 connecting each vibration element and a focal point 100. A distance 110 between the vibration element and the focal point 100 is divided into a fat layer section 112 and a non-fat layer section 114 on each path 108. At the time of calculation of delay data, sound speed for fat is applied to the fat layer section 112 and general sound speed is applied to the non-fat layer section 114. A skin layer section is further specified and sound speed for skin may be applied thereto.</p> |
