The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for the prevention or treatment of neurological disorders, comprising an ICAM-1 (intercellular adhesion molecule-1) protein, or a fragment or a variant thereof as an active ingredient, which can increase the expression of neprilysin to remove amyloid-beta (A¥, a cause of dementia, and is thus useful in preventing or treating a neurological disease including Alzheimer¡s disease.
