PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and an apparatus for achieving mass production of a sulfur-based positive electrode active material capable of increasing a capacity of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery.SOLUTION: In manufacturing sulfur-based positive electrode active material, while a polyacrylonitrile sheet is continuously being conveyed, sulfur (S) is deposited before heating. At this time, at least a part of sulfur (S) is deposited on the polyacrylonitrile sheet in a liquid manner. Using a sheet-like material as polyacrylonitrile, while the material is continuously being conveyed, sulfur is deposited before heating, thereby facilitating mass production of the sulfur-based positive electrode active material. Deposition of sulfur (S) on the polyacrylonitrile in a liquid manner enables production of the sulfur-based positive electrode active material excellent in battery characteristics. |
