PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce vibration and noise, and to improve industrial value of an AC commutator motor.SOLUTION: A housing 2 has a cylindrical trunk 2b. The housing 2 includes a bottom 24 on one side, and an opening 2a on the other side for the trunk 2b. The bottom 24 has a vent 23. A field 13 and an armature 14 are disposed in the housing 2. The field 13 has a field core 11 and a field winding 12. The field winding 12 is wound around the field core 11. The field core 11 is square tubular. The field 13 is fixed to the inside of the housing 2.
