The present invention provides a method and a system for updating car firmware with driver authentication. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for updating car firmware can authenticate a driver by receiving the ID and update the firmware when the driver is authenticated. As a result, the method can guarantee an easier and more fair way of updating the firmware by a driver. Moreover, after finishing driving, the driver authentication information is deleted, thereby preventing illegal use of the car as well as car theft.
