PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type image display device capable of reducing size and weight of a unit disposed in a room while maintaining operation temperature at a constant level.SOLUTION: The projection type image display device includes: an indoor unit 1 disposed in a room; and an outdoor unit 4 disposed outdoor. The outdoor unit 4 includes: a second refrigerant piping 41 which forms a refrigerant circuit together with a first refrigerant piping 21; a cooling device 42; and a cooling control circuit 45 that controls the cooling device 42 to cool R, G and B heat sinks 18, 19 and 20. The indoor unit 1 includes a main control circuit 27 that controls the cooling device 42 to perform the cooling operation while communicating with the cooling control circuit 45. |
