PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial agent and a cosmetic having antimicrobial efficacy that is more excellent than the antimicrobial efficacy that manuka honey inherently has in relation to the antimicrobial agent containing manuka-derived honey called as manuka honey, and the cosmetic blended with the manuka-derived honey.SOLUTION: An antimicrobial agent includes manuka-derived honey, and at least one or more kinds, selected from di(phytosteryl-2-octyldodecyl) N-lauroyl-L-glutamate, 2-ethylhexanoic acid triglyceride, cetyl 2-ethylhexanoate, bisabolol, an extract of Calendula officinalis, a 2-methacryloyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine/n-butyl methacrylate copolymer, an extract of licorice root, a soybean lysophospholipid, phenoxyethanol, a hydrogenated soybean phospholipid, 1,2-pentanediol, tea tree leaf oil and a royal jelly extract. |
