<p>The present invention relates to a decoding device and a method that can continuously play video without interruption by supporting decoding of the all the frames when playing digital video at high speed. According to the present invention, a decoding device is composed of a decoder pool containing at least one set of S/W decoder; a host module that buffers digital video compression signal inputted and assigns the buffering signal to a idle S/W decoder if there is the idle S/W decoder in the decoder pool or assigns the buffering signal to a new S/W decoder by creating the new S/W decoder within the decoder pool if all of the idle S/W decoders are operating and a sorting module that sorts all the digital video signals received when decoding within the decoder pool is finished.</p> |
