PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle heater device that determines contact with a human hand, with high sensitivity.SOLUTION: This handle heating device (100) has: a heating wire (103) provided in a steering handle; a switch (101) connected in series to the heating wire (103), for supplying power to the heating wire (103); and a sense circuit (106) electrically connected to a wiring pattern through a lead line (104) connected at midpoint to the wiring pattern constituting the heating wire (103), in which, the sense circuit (106) determines the presence or absence of contact between the steering handle and a human hand on the basis of the capacitance degree of the wiring pattern through the lead line (104) when the switch (101) is off.
