A seat device capable of providing improved body pressure dispersion during travel is provided. In this seat device, which comprises a seat, turning plates are disposed inside both end parts of the seat in the width direction at positions sandwiched between a bottom plate and a cushioning material (3) of the seat. The parts of the cushioning material (3) where the turning plates are sandwiched by the cushioning material and the bottom plate constitute turning parts (3a) that turn about the width-direction inner ends of said portions as the turning plates turn. In addition, slits (11) are formed in the cushioning material (3) at boundary positions between the turning parts (3a) and a non-turning section, that is, a section other than the turning parts. |
