Disclosed is a radiation detector comprising a plurality of pixels for detecting radiation. Each of a plurality of pixels includes: a radiation absorbing layer to convert incident photons into a first electrical signal; and a photon processing part having a plurality of storage parts to count and store the number of the photons based on the first electrical signal. At least one storage part among a plurality of storage parts compares the first electrical signal with a first reference value, and counts and stores the number of the photons based on a third electrical signal which is the result of comparing a second electrical signal that is the above comparison result with a second reference value.
