<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating or evaluating the coalification degree of reformed coals, capable of accurately confirming the reforming effect when reforming coals by adding a heavy oil to non- or slightly-caking coals. <P>SOLUTION: The method for estimating or evaluating the coalification degree of the reformed coal is utilized on a reforming method for low-coalification degree coals for converting to an article equivalent to a caking coal. The method includes: heat-treating at least four coals different stepwise in coalification degree at 1,000°C or higher in an airtight state; previously obtaining the regression line of Ro-N or Ro-La from an average number N of multiple layers of the obtained standard sample by an X-ray diffraction or the size La of crystallite of a layer surface and the coalification degree Ro of each coal; preparing a molded body comprising the mixture of a powdery low-coalification degree coal and an aromaticity-rich heavy oil being a reforming agent; and obtaining the coalification degree Ro from the N or La of the mixture using the regression line and N or La obtained by the X-ray diffraction of a sample to be measured obtained by the same heat treatment for the molded body as that for the standard sample. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
