The device has an electric motor comprising an output shaft engaged in a rolling tube. A rotational connection unit (L) is formed between the shaft and the tube. The connection unit has a transmission element (T) authorizing relative rotation between the shaft and the tube in case of blocking descending of an apron by an obstacle. A control unit controls stopping of the motor in response to the relative rotation between the output shaft and the rolling tube during descending of the apron.
