IDENTITY VERIFICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

An identity verification method comprises: receiving an identity identification code sent by an identity verifier; searching in a server whether the identity identification code is bound with a network account; if a bound network account is found, judging whether the bound network account falls within a certification list, and achieving successful verification if the bound network account falls within a certification list; and the verification failing if the bound network account is not found or does not fall within the certification list. According to the present identity verification method, the identity identification code of the identity verifier is associated with the network account, and whether the verification succeeds or fails is determined using the certification list including the certificated network account. Since a user can readily bind, unbind and alter the identity verifier through the network account over the internet, both the report of a lost identity verifier and reapplication for a new one can be realized in a timely manner, which improves safety, increases the efficiency of reporting a lost identity verifier and reapplying for a new one and saves time and manpower costs. In addition, also provided is an identity verification system.
