The present invention relates to a catalyst for a methanation reaction, a manufacturing method thereof, and a manufacturing method of methane using the same and, more specifically, to a catalyst for a methanation reaction, a manufacturing method thereof, and a manufacturing method of methane using the same, wherein a catalytic metal is coated on the surface of a metal foam. A catalyst for a methanation reaction of the present invention having a high conversion rate of carbon monoxide and methane selectivity due to a metal foam structure is capable of reducing an amount of a catalytic metal used, constantly controlling the temperature inside a reactor with reactive gas flow, dispersion effects of reaction heat, etc., and maintaining long durability in a reaction at high temperatures with excellent thermal stability.
