PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-encapsulated particle that has low combustibility and suppresses volatilization of water, which acts as a foaming agent, even after long-term storage, and that achieves weight saving of a substrate, a method for producing the same, and applications of the same.SOLUTION: The water-encapsulated particle is composed of: a core part comprising a water-absorbing resin containing water; and a crosslinked layer which covers the core part and includes metal. The method for producing the water-encapsulated particle is a production method including a step C of forming the crosslinked layer from an organic compound containing metal on the surface of a raw material particle B comprising the water-absorbing resin containing water. |
