TRANSPORTING PIPE FOR WATER SUPPLY AND DRAIN

PURPOSE:A transporting pipe for water supply and drain having imp[roved resistance to halogen water at a halogan concentration of water for practical use, obtained by blending an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer with specific amounts of carbon black and a specific hindered amide compound. CONSTITUTION:(A) An ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer is blended with (B) 0.5-5wt%, preferably 0.5-3wt% carbon black, preferably carbon black having <=1X10<22> spin m<2>/g product of specific surface area and electron spin density and (C) 0.01-1wt%, preferably 0.03-0.5wt% hindered amine compound wherein its amine nitrogen atom is contained in the form of a carbon-nitrogen-carbon chain to form part of a nonaromatic heterocyclic ring and two carbons are linked to two 1-12C lower alkyl or one 4-9C alicyclic group exerting steric hindrance on the amine, preferably a hindered amine compound wherein plural hindered amines are bonded to a carrier and molded by a pipe molding machine.
