Provided is a method for forming a Wi-Fi Peer-to-Peer (P2P) group using Wi-Fi Direct. The method includes acquiring device information of other P2P device corresponding to a connection target by P2P devices that will form a Wi-Fi P2P group; checking a type of the other P2P devices based on the acquired device information; adjusting an intent value of a P2P device depending on the checked type of the other P2P devices; and forming a Wi-Fi P2P group based on the adjusted intent values of the P2P devices.

1. A method performed by a first device for forming a Wi-Fi Peer-to-Peer (P2P) group with at least one second device using Wi-Fi Direct, the method comprising:
receiving at least one device information of the at least one second device; adjusting an intent values of the first device based on a type of the at least one second device corresponding to the received device information of the at least one second device; and processing at least one operation related to formation of the Wi-Fi P2P group using the adjusted intent value.
