PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of improving display quality.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes: a first common electrode formed with a first slit extending in a first direction; a first pixel electrode facing the first common electrode; a second pixel electrode facing the first common electrode and abutting the first pixel electrode in a second direction with the first slit sandwiched between them; and a first orientation film covering the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode. The second substrate includes: a second common electrode individually facing the first slit and the first pixel electrode and the second pixel electrode and having the same electric potential as the first common electrode; and a second orientation film covering the second common electrode. The liquid crystal layer is held between the first orientation film and the second orientation film. |
