PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for a surgical operation in which a surgeon can easily control an illumination direction with a manual operation, a surgical field can be illuminated constantly and properly regardless of the change of a posture of a patient and the depth of an incision site, and an optic fiber is not damaged in a sterilization treatment.SOLUTION: A lighting system for a surgical operation comprises: a support body; a light source part for generating light; an irradiation part having at least one condenser lens; and posture holding means for holding an operation posture of the irradiation part. A flexible tube of the posture holding means is covered by a flexible tube-like cover 6 with air-tightness.
