METHOD OF EXTRACTING LIPID FROM ALGAE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to break the cell wall of microalgae and efficiently recover lipid from algae.SOLUTION: A method of extracting lipid from algae comprises: a process of dissolving carbon dioxide into dispersion liquid containing microalgae; and a process of breaking microalgae by adding shear force to microalgae by a high-pressure dispersion apparatus after the process of dissolving carbon dioxide. The process of dissolving carbon dioxide is performed at the temperature of 0°C or higher and 45°C or lower and the pressure of 0.08 MPa or more and 0.5 MPa or less in absolute pressure.
