<p>The present invention relates to the technical field of wireless communications, and particularly to a method, system and device for performing a handover decision, which are used to solve the problem that in the prior art, a User Equipment (UE) may perform continuous unnecessary handover in a scenario where a UMTS/LTE and a WLAN coexist. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the UE, after determining that it needs to be handed over to a non-cellular network, sends a notification message indicating handover to the non-cellular network to a network side device that the UE currently accesses, so that the network side device avoids or stops handover operations on the UE. By means of the solutions of the embodiments of the present invention, the network side device can stop handover operations on the UE, so as to prevent the UE from continuous unnecessary handover in the scenario where the UMTS/LTE and the WLAN coexist, thereby further improving resource utilization and system performance.</p> |
