Provided are a thin film transistor, an array substrate and a display apparatus, which relate to the technical field of display. The thin film transistor comprises a gate (11) formed above the substrate and a semiconductor layer (2) formed above the gate and a gate line. The gate is connected to the gate line (12). At least one part of the semiconductor layer surpasses the gate. The problem of short circuit of a source and drain metal and a gate metal caused in a manufacturing process of an existing bottom gate type thin film transistor can be solved, thereby improving the defect-free rate of the bottom gate type thin film transistor. The array substrate comprises the thin film transistor. The display apparatus comprises the array substrate.
